IU Health LifeLine hosted an open house for the community at the Frankfort/Clinton County Airport over the weekend after beginning operations in the county late last year.
The team at IU Health LifeLine welcomed numerous community partners and local EMS providers to the airport to showcase the new base that hosts the LifeLine helicopters and emergency vehicles that are available for dispatch out of Clinton County.
“It was truly heartwarming to see so many people from the community show their support for LifeLine,” the team wrote. “We’re thrilled to be a part of Clinton County and excited to continue serving the area.”

A prestigious new tenant is opening its doors at the Frankfort/Clinton County Airport very soon.
“That’s all signed and done,” said Frankfort Clinton County Airport Authority Board President Alan Dunn. “They are almost finished with their build out of their interior work at the facility. They are targeting this week or next week to move in.”
Dunn said everything is moving forward.
“It’s already garnered buzz around the aviation community,” said Dunn, who added the airport has received a bunch of prestige from IU Lifeline moving on-site.
Dunn said they were approached in the August/September time frame from representatives of IU Lifeline about potentially looking at the airport as their new for the West Central region. The reason for the move was because of all changes going on at the Purdue Airport.
IU Lifeline’s new home will be the recently constructed Hangar 2 at the airport which, according to Dunn, will have all the room for everything they will need.
Back in October, IU Health Attorney Corey Hall said this new facility will be one of five such facilities in the state and allow them to take care of the West Central region of the state which includes IU Health Frankfort, IU Health in White County, which will include the Monticello area, and IU Health Arnett. Hall added he thought would be at least a $350,000 investment.
