Ken Hartman, Kaspar Media News Director Retires

Ken Hartman has been a familiar face reporting Clinton County news and sports for 16 years, since July 2008.  Two of those years were with The Times Newspaper in Frankfort and the last 14 years were with Kaspar Media/Clinton County/Boone County/Carroll County Daily News and WILO.

Along the way, Ken did high school sports play-by-play for Football and Basketball, using his knowledge as a National Championship-winning Jr. College Assistant Basketball Coach in Illinois.  Hartman held positions in his media career primarily in the newspaper business.  Broadcasting on the radio at Kaspar Media was new to him.   Over the years Ken was a reporter, sports editor and newspaper editor for various publications in Illinois, North Dakota and Indiana.  Hartman came to Kaspar Media as a reporter in 2010 and was promoted to News and Sports Director soon after coming to the station.

Kaspar Media CEO Russ Kaspar respectfully recalls Ken’s devotion to his craft and the long hours Ken sometimes put in to bring news and sports, emergency weather and election coverage to listeners and readers in the Clinton, Boone and Carroll County area.  Kaspar Media appreciates the many years of service Ken gave to the area community to keep us informed.  Kaspar Media wishes Ken the very best in his retirement.
