Library to Host Visiting Artists Workshops

The Frankfort Community Public Library is providing the youth of Clinton County, ages 8-18, with the opportunity to learn more about different performing arts.  There will be four Visiting Artists Workshops during the 2017-2018 school year.  Each one will focus on a different and unique performing art where the student will be able to learn how to perform that art.  There is limited seating, so be sure to register early.  You can register for our first two workshops online currently.

On Thurs., Nov. 30, Rusty Ammerman will be at the Frankfort Library to teach students how to be a magician.  Ammerman, originally from Connersville, IN, has been performing since he was 16 years old and has performed in 43 states and 9 different countries, including two over-sea tours to entertain U.S. Troops.  He will be in the Skanta Theater from 4:30-6:30 to teach students the beginnings of how to be a magician and also entertain us with his own mastery of illusion.

On Thurs., Dec. 14, One Size Fits All, a Lafayette comedy group, will be at the Frankfort Library to teach students how to do improv comedy.  One Size Fits All is Lafayette’s longest running improv group.  They will be in the 219 conference room from 4:30-6:30 to teach students about thinking on their toes, playing games, and laughing a whole lot!

The Visiting Artist Program has been made possible by the Tippecanoe Art Federation through the generous sponsorship of The McAllister Foundation and support of the Indiana Arts Commission and National Endowment for the Arts.
