Frankfort Main Street Executive Director Kim Stevens announced Thursday morning that the annual Christmas Parade originally scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday has been postponed until 3 p.m. Sunday due to the inclement and potentially stormy weather that is forecast for the area on Saturday afternoon.
As of now, there is a 100 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with winds gusting to 25 mph. New rainfall amounts will be between a half and three quarters of an inch.
The Sunday afternoon forecast calls for partly sunny skies with just a 20 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m. and a high of 52 degrees.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas in Toyland”.
