Man Arrested for Allegedly Opening Fire on Moving Vehicle on I-65

At approximately 3 p.m. Monday, Lebanon Police Department (LPD) Units responded to the 142-mile marker on I65 southbound on a report of a road rage incident.

LPD units spoke with the involved parties at this location, where it was determined at the 146-mile marker of I65 south, shots were fired from one of the vehicles striking the other. Craig Jones III, 19, of Bloomington, Indiana, was a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu and reportedly fired shots towards a Chevrolet Silverado, successfully striking it. The driver of the Silverado was uninjured.

Jones was taken into custody without incident and charged with Criminal Mischief, Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Recklessness, and Intimidation.
