Man Injured After Misjudging Jump at Airport

WLFI is reporting that an adult male was taken to IU Health in Indianapolis after sustaining an injury Friday afternoon at Skydive Indianapolis in Frankfort.

According to the Frankfort Airport manager, the individual was training to video record his jumps. He said there was no equipment malfunction during the jump, but the skydiver misjudged his landing.

First responders said the individual was conscious and alert when taken to the hospital and his injuries were not life threatening. The individual was not a customer, but an experienced staff member on a solo jump.

The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an investigation.
