Marijuana Plants Found in Tipton County Home

At approximately 2:14 a.m. Tuesday, a joint drug investigation by the Indiana State Police, the Tipton Narcotics Team, and the Tipton Police Department led to the arrest of Matt Blessing, 34, Goldsmith, IN. Blessing was incarcerated in the Tipton County Jail to face criminal charges for maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a syringe, possession of a narcotic, dealing marijuana, and two counts for possession of marijuana.

Yesterday, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, officers developed enough probable cause to be granted a Tipton Circuit Court search warrant for Blessing’s residence at 111 North Meridian Street, Goldsmith, IN. During the execution of the warrant, officers allegedly found 300 marijuana plants, in various stages of growth, approximately six pounds of processed marijuana, approximately $13,000 in hydroponic growing equipment, and drug paraphernalia.

Blessing was taken into custody and incarcerated at the Tipton County Jail.
