Michael T. Davis, 55, of Middlefork passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born January 21, 1962 in Kokomo to Larry and Nancy (Brandano) Davis.
Michael was retired from GM. He loved his animals and they loved him; he kept chickens, dogs, cats and even took an orphaned squirrel or raccoon on occasion. He enjoyed bass fishing and was an excellent cook. Michael enjoyed antiquing and could really wheel-and-deal, but also had a generous spirit.
In 1984, Michael married Tammy Cheek and with whom he celebrated over 33 years of marriage. Tammy survives with their son, Anthony (Katie Huffer) Davis of Middlefork; two brothers, Larry (Sharon) Davis of Michigantown and John Davis of Greentown; five sisters, Darlene (Larry) Johnson of Frankfort, Rhonda Davis of Michigantown, Felicia (Bob) Shoemaker of Frankfort, Jodi (Doug) Wilburn of Lafayette and Mary (Mike) Crider of Frankfort; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews and all of his other kids he and Tammy took into their home over the years.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. The funeral service will begin at 7:00p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
