This year’s paving program begins tomorrow with milling on Rossville Avenue from Morrison Street to Green Street. Plans call for three other paving projects to be worked on Friday including milling on Paris Street from the dead end to John Street, Short Columbia from McKinsey to Avery Street with crews wrapping up for the day on Columbia Street from Walnut Street to Green Street.According to Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe, first thing Monday morning crews will mill Clinton Street from Columbia Street to Jackson Street.
“I will be notifying our downtown businesses today of our upcoming plans. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation with our paving projects this year, as we operate in partnership with Milestone Contractors’ crews to get the work done as efficiently and effectively as possible,” Forsythe said.
