WLFI is reporting that Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) on Thursday announced that an office employee in the Delphi facility has tested positive for the coronavirus. According to a released statement, officials have been in contact with the affected team member to implement best-practice protocols, including medical evaluation and being quarantined for 14 days.
IPC officials said once the case was confirmed, IPC notified other employees of possible exposure and directed all team members known to have been in close contact with this individual to stay home and self-quarantine as well.
The employee’s work area was subject to a thorough, redundant cleaning and sanitization process, as part of IPC’s measures to protect its employees.
We will have more on this story as it develops.
