Richard Lee “Dick” Bray

Richard Lee “Dick” Bray, 69, of Frankfort, died May 26, 2021 at his home.  He was born on February 17, 1952 in Noblesville, Ind. to Norman & Vera Jean (Ottinger) Bray.  He married Pam Owen in 1971 in Frankfort and Edie Turner on July 19, 1986 in Frankfort.

Dick was a proud “Woodside Woodchuck” and attended Frankfort Schools.  He was a Union Roofer for over 40 years, retiring in 2010.  He was a member of the Hedrick Assembly of God in Warren County and the Frankfort Eagles Lodge #976.  He loved Bluegrass music, fishing, camping, canoeing, and enjoyed participating in demolition derbies and rollover contests.

Surviving are his Daughters: Stephanie (DJ) Smith of Newtown, Dawn (George) Smith of Frankfort, January Ingram of Frankfort, and Mitzi (Bruce) Burnett of Cape Coral, FL; Sons: Christopher L. (Angel) Bray of Covington and Jason (Tammie) Turner of Frankfort; Sisters: Judy Gates of Frankfort, JoAnn Howe of Frankfort, and Brenda Hettinger of Frankfort; Brothers: Jerry Bray of Rossville, Rodney Bray of Rossville, and Jeff Bray of Frankfort; 20 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and Lifelong Best Friend: Jeff Emery of Frankfort.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Bobby Bray, and grandson: Rhett Smith.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the funeral home.  Pastor Harold Varner and Jordan Bray will officiate.  Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m. at West Lebanon Cemetery, West Lebanon, Ind.  Memorial Donations may be made in Dick’s honor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 S.
