Routine Traffic Stop Results in Two Drug Arrests

A routine traffic stop Tuesday night resulted in a man and a woman being arrested on drug charges.

According to Police Chief Troy Bacon, during the traffic stop near the 1700 block E Wabash Street at 10 p.m. last night, Frankfort police officer Lance Pickrell conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Sergeant Evan Hall and his K9 Otto stopped to conduct an exterior free air sniff of the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle, officers located illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Officers arrested Kylie R Fultz (34) of Frankfort for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Also arrested was Justan M. Fultz(41) of Frankfort for Possession of Marijuana and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

“Officers have stepped up enforcement to locate drugs and illegal narcotics on our streets. I am extremely proud of Officer Pickrell, Sergeant Hall and K9 Otto for their hard work, attention to detail, and diligence last night.

“If you are considering transporting drugs in Frankfort, I would seriously think twice. Our relentless enforcement and tireless approach to rid these pollutants from Frankfort will not stop”, said Chief Troy Bacon

Kylie Fultz and Justan Fultz were transported to the Clinton County Jail to await formal charges.
