Sandra “Sonie” (Bricker) Malletta, 86, passed away peacefully at her daughters’ home, after a lengthy illness, on July 4th, 2021. She was born on April 6th, 1935, in Mulberry, IN to Herbert and Mary Catherine (Bottorff) Bricker. She lived the majority of her life in the southwest but returned to Frankfort in 2000.
Sonie was known for her artistic abilities and her impeccable taste. She was an avid reader. She also loved painting, cooking, crossword puzzles, and playing cards with family and friends. She would do anything to help another person.
She is survived by son, Mathew (Gina) Ponton of El Paso, Texas; daughters, Andrea Ponton Reddington of Frankfort, and Erin Menozzi of Loudon, Tennessee. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Tony Reddington, Jesse (Amanda) Reddington, Lauren Lamb, Allison Menozzi, Michelle (Michael) O’Rourke, Nicole Menozzi, Kathleen (Patrick) O’Neil, Janessia Barrieritos, Cassondra Ann Ponton, and Luke Ponton; and also 7 great-grandchild: Harper Lamb, Declan Lamb, Gibson Lamb, Gypsie Mayo, Benjamine O’Rourke, Cristian Barrientos, and Zane Barrientos; as well as two brothers, James (Pam) Bricker of Frankfort and Joe (Pam) Bricker of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Susie Ravage, formerly of New York.
Sonie was a private person. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
