The Community Schools of Frankfort released information regarding scholarships for students intending to pursue further education, including specified scholarships, overarching scholarships and more.
Sami’s Shirley Martin Scholarship:
The corporation released that applications have opened for students in Clinton, Carroll, Howard, Tipton and surrounding counties for those seeking to pursue a career as a songwriter. Applications are currently open for the Sami’s Shirley Martin Scholarship for Young Songwriters, which includes the Mike Lane Horizon Award. The scholarship is designed songwriters between the ages of 14 to 19 who live in Carroll, Clinton, Cass, Benton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulsaki, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren or White counties and are a permanent resident of Indiana. Applications will be accepted through April 2.
The Sami’s Shirley Martin Scholarship winners will receive a $400 cash reward and professional recording for one song to be applied towards the winner’s education, musical instrument or other songwriting endeavor as well as the opportunity to play at the annual Shirley Martin Scholarship for Young Songwriters awards ceremony and other event throughout the year.

Community Foundation Serving Howard, Clinton & Carroll Counties General Scholarship Application.
Seniors are encouraged to complete the general application for the Community Foundation Serving Howard, Clinton and Carroll Counties for more scholarships at cfhoward.org.
Indiana Senior Scholarship Program & Student-View Scholarship Program:
This scholarship is designed by Student Insights, which is a market research firm that aims to help colleges communicate more effectively with high school seniors. Applicants are asked to complete a 15-to-20-minute survey about colleges in their area by April 23. The survey may be found at student-view.com.
Purdue Alumni Scholarship:
This scholarship is open to incoming students to the West Lafayette and Indianapolis Purdue University campus. The scholarship is due on Jan. 25 and acts as a two-page simple application. The application may be found at Student Guide to Scholarships – Purdue for Life Foundation. Applicants are asked to send their completed application as an attachment to [email protected] with the subject line as “Purdue Scholarship Application.”
Clinton County Retired Teacher Scholarship.
This scholarship is open to those majoring in education and carries a total of $500 per scholarship. The deadline is set for March 19, and applications may be received at Student Services.
COACH Kids Club Scholarship:
Seniors who are active mentors in the Local Heroes Program at COACH Kids of Clinton County may apply for the 2025 scholarship by April 4. The scholarship link is available by contacting Programs Manager Carl Gingerich at [email protected] or by contacting the school sponsor at any of the four Clinton County schools. Scholarship winners will be recognized at the annual gala set for April 25.
Scholarships for Frankfort Schools Students (these scholarships may only be available at Frankfort Schools, but ask student services to be certain):
Students may apply for the Fred W. Carter and Raymond R. Carter Scholarship designed for students entering trades, such as nursing, IT, welding, cosmetology, mechanics, manufacturing and business. Applications may be received at the Student Services office. Applications are due March 19.
Students may also apply for the Frankfort Lions Club scholarships. Two scholarships are available in the amount of $1,000 for any Frankfort High School graduating students intending to attend a college, university or technical school in Fall 2025. Applications may be received at the Student Services office. Applications are due April 4.
The Frankfort Scholarship Application is due Feb. 21.
