Indiana Conservation Officers and the Indianapolis Fire Department are continuing to search for a man Sunday that went missing in the White River in Indianapolis Saturday night.
Yesterday evening at approximately 5:45 p.m. two witnesses called 911 to report they saw a man floating in the White River north of the 16th Street dam. They stated that they saw both the man and his canoe floating in the river, and then they lost sight of the man.
The canoe and lifejackets were recovered just south of the 16th Street dam.
Sunday, responders are searching the river and shore with boats, sonar equipment and an underwater camera.
The missing person has been identified, however the name is being withheld pending family notification.
