This is the first weekend of high school football playoff action and WILO AM/FM and Shine 99 TV will be there for a pair of games Friday night.
Don Stock and Karl Kercheval will be at Clinton Prairie as the Gophers host Anderson Prep Academy in the opening round of Class A sectional play at 7 p.m. Friday. Clinton Prairie comes into the game with a 4-5 record, which includes losses in four of its last five games, including a 46-29 loss to Eastern last Friday night. Anderson Prep Academy fell to 0-9 on the season with a 72-14 loss to Wes-Del. The Jets have allowed 54 or more points in six of their nine games, while only scoring 52 points for the entire season. Shine TV will have the game between Sheridan and Tri-Central at Sheridan starting at 7 p.m. Friday. Sheridan brings a 7-2 record into the contest after last week’s 55-13 triumph over South Decatur. Tri-Central enters the game with a 4-5 record after dispensing of winless Clinton Central 48-26 last week. These two teams met on Sept. 1 with Sheridan winning 28-6.
