Several Hoosier Schools Among Nation’s Best

Nearly 20 Indiana schools are included in WalletHub’s “2018’s Best College & University Rankings.” The personal finance website evaluated nearly 1,000 higher education institutions based on categories, including student selectivity, cost and financing, and educational outcomes.

The University of Notre Dame is the only Hoosier school in the top 20, coming in at number 16. Purdue University follows at number 84, followed by DePauw University at 105 and Wabash College at 109.

The other categories used in determining the rankings were faculty resources, campus experience, and career outcomes. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology tops the list, followed by Princeton University, Harvard University, Stanford University and the California Institute of Technology.

In all, 18 Indiana schools are listed among the top 500:
