At approximately 7:34 p.m. Thursday, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired on State Road 29 in Boyleston.
Central Dispatch gathered pertinent information from the caller and further reported that shots were being fired from a vehicle traveling northbound on State Road 29. The complainant gave a great vehicle description and was able to provide plate information.
Deputy Josh Blackwell was able to locate the vehicle in the area of State Road 29 and County Road 800 North. With the assistance of Rossville Deputy Town Marshal Barth Mink, Burlington Town Marshal and Deputies from Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Blackwell was able to conduct a felony stop on the vehicle. Sergeant Joey Mitchell arrived on the scene to assist in the investigation.
In the course of the initial investigation, it was determined that a rear passenger in the vehicle was in possession of a firearm. During the traffic stop, officers determined the occupants to be in possession of marijuana. An occupant of the vehicle cooperated with police and corroborated witness accounts of a passenger pointing a firearm. Officers arrested all four occupants, all from Fort Wayne.
Arrested was 20-year-old Aung OO for Pointing a Firearm, Carrying a Handgun without a Permit, Criminal Recklessness, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of Marijuana and Visiting a Common Nuisance. Two of the three, 18-year-old Har Sin and 18-year-old Oh Min were each charged with Possession of Marijuana and Visiting a Common Nuisance, while 20-year-old Zin Htun was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Sheriff Rich Kelly is proud of the collaboration and quick response of all agencies to end a potentially dangerous situation. The action of our officers resulted in the removal of an illegally possessed firearm from our community.
