Story contributors are members of the Stand up, Don’t stand by group.
Stand Up, Don’t Standby couldn’t be happier with how their event turned out. They had around 100 people come and enjoy the day and raised over $300. They are a non profit group to help victims.
The last couple months the girls have worked so hard to make the event a reality for the Victims in our community and are hoping to have put our their name in enough places that they know who they can call on and who will be there for them every step of the way.
The group would like to say thank you to Slabbys, Shoups & Frito-Lay for donating amazing food to give to the public, Good Times Professional Audio for keeping the vibe going all day & being an ally of ours to continue making a difference for assault survivors, Jess Jones-Wessel for not taking a break all day to make sure EVERY kids face was painted how they wanted and all of the raffle donors who were more than willing to help us raise the funds needed. Also the group sends a huge thank you to the community for coming out and enjoying the day. They want people to know who they are and want victims to feel at ease and predators to feel nervous that they are here. SURVIVORS helping VICTIMS.
