At approximately 8:34 a.m. Thursday, Clinton County Central Dispatch received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on State Road 39.
Rossville Police located the vehicle, at which time the driver came to an abrupt stop in a business parking lot at Main Street and Plank Street, Rossville. The driver then barricaded himself inside the vehicle, refusing to comply with commands from officers on scene.
After additional units began to arrive on scene, officers evacuated the immediate area and put Rossville Schools on lockout as precaution. A short while later, the driver surrendered to officers. He was taken into custody without further incident.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Rossville School Police Department, Frankfort Police Department, and Mulberry Town Marshall all assisted.
