Welcome to a Tour of Shine 99 and WILO radio. Kaspar Media walks you through our facilities designed to serve our listeners, readers, viewers, advertisers, community newsmakers and team members.
The studio area was designed by Chris Soros, former chief engineer for KMOX radio in St. Louis. The core area for on-air broadcasting has 5 studios arrainged so each studio has eye contact with the other four studios.
There are two additional edit suites for audio production and editing. The News Director’s office and Director of Operations’ office have direct contact with on-air computers and all published content.
Generator power is supplied to two transmitters and the entire studio operation in case emergency power is needed to serve the public.
Shine 99 radio broadcasts 24/7 to almost 20 counties in Indiana with a 50,000 watt signal. WILO AM/FM, also operating 24/7, is home of award-winning programming designed to keep you informed with up-to-the-minute community, farm, weather and sports news while you enjoy a customized blend of Classic Hits programming. The 5,200 square foot facility is also home of Clinton County Daily News, Boone County Daily News, The Big Deals Store and Hoosierland TV. Every product we offer is here to help improve your quality of life.
All Kaspar Media products are available LIVE world-wide through internet streaming.
