The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces U.S. 421 will close on or after Monday, October 9 just north of Frankfort for four weeks. The closure is for Walnut Creek/Clinton County Landfill to install a commercial driveway and at the same time take out a hill crest on U.S.421 to improve sight visibility.
The roadway is scheduled to reopen Monday, November 6. The official detour utilizes State Road 75 and State Road 26.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.
