The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday for most of Central Indiana including Clinton County.
Low pressure moving through the Ohio Valley will spread wintry precipitation across Central Indiana starting late tonight and continuing into Thursday. Snow accumulations are expected, perhaps mixing with freezing rain, in southern parts of Indiana.Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch are expected. Snow is expected across all of Central Indiana. The precipitation may begin as a period of freezing rain south of I-70.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas are Boone, Decatur, Brown, Randolph, Hendricks, Carroll, Daviess, Tippecanoe, Owen, Hancock, Greene, Shelby, Warren, Madison, Jennings, Fountain, Knox, Delaware, Morgan, Jackson, Vermillion, Martin, Putnam, Bartholomew, Marion, Clay, Tipton, Vigo, Johnson, Henry, Sullivan, Hamilton, Howard, Monroe, Montgomery, Parke, Rush and Lawrence.
