Zonta Club of Frankfort Announces Annual “Zonta Says NO” Community Event & Walk

The Zonta Club of Frankfort, along with members of the local community, will gather Saturday, November 21, for the annual Zonta Says NO Event and Walk, bringing attention to the ongoing effort to end gender-based violence against women and girls.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Clinton County Annex Building and is being held as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an international campaign focused on raising awareness, encouraging action and working toward an end to violence against women and girls.

This year’s event theme is “See Something, Say Something,” emphasizing the importance of community awareness, support and taking action when violence or abuse is suspected.

The program will bring together community leaders and local officials, with participation expected from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Frankfort Police Department, Prosecutor’s Office, and city and state officials.

A highlight of the event will be an official Mayoral Proclamation, declaring a commitment to standing against gender-based violence and supporting efforts to create a safer community.

Wear Orange

Community members attending the event are encouraged to wear orange as a visible show of support for ending violence against women and girls.

The event and walk provide an opportunity for residents to come together, raise awareness and reinforce the message that preventing violence is a responsibility shared throughout the community.
