Noma E. Perkins, 93, of Dayton, Ind., died September 1, 2018 at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. Born February 27, 1925 in Scottsville, Kentucky to Calvin T. & Edna (Brandt) Poland. She married Arley Perkins Jr. on August 31, 1957 in Lebanon, Ind. and he survives.
Mrs. Perkins attended Ro
ck Ridge School in Kentucky. She had lived in Kokomo, Frankfort, Delphi and in Dayton for 14 years. She worked for P.R. Mallory’s for 28 ½ years, where she was an inspector and the first female foreman. She retired in 1980. Noma was a member of the Woodside Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and was an avid doll collector.
She is survived by: Husband: Arley Perkins Jr. of Dayton, 3 Sons: Ronnie L. Dubree, Graydon K. (Paula) Perkins and Robert A. (Kathy) Perkins, all of Lafayette, 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday September 6, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, with the funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
