The Lebanon Police Department, Greencastle Police Department, and Owen County Sheriff’s Office have identified a suspect that is wanted in connection with armed robberies that occurred within their respective jurisdictions. The suspect has been identified as 33-year old Devin D. Ewoldt.
On September 23, 2019, Deputies with the Owen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported armed robbery at the Dollar General Store located in Gosport, Indiana. On September 28, 2019, Officers with the Greencastle Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery at the Pizza King in Greencastle, Indiana. On September 28, 2019, Officers with the Lebanon Police
Department responded to the Dollar General, located at 1114 South Lebanon Street for an Armed Robbery.
The suspect in each of the incidents was captured on video security systems at each of the businesses. With the help of the public, the suspect was quickly identified as Ewoldt. Authorities are continuing their search for Ewoldt in connection with these crimes. Ewoldt is also wanted out of Boone County and Montgomery County on unrelated warrants.
Ewoldt was last seen driving a White 2004 Nissan Xterra with temporary license plate K709963. His last known address was in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Ewoldt was armed with a handgun during each of these incidents and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
