Lloyd J. Brower, 96, longtime Frankfort resident died May 7, 2021 at Whitlock Place in Crawfordsville, Ind. He was born on June 10, 1924 in Flora, Ind. to Loren and Vera Alberta (Felix) Brower. He married Phyllis Anne Shepard on June 30, 1946 in Indianapolis and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2007.
Mr. Brower was a 1942 graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School and attended Purdue University. He served as Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp in Okinawa from April 1943 to March 1946. Lloyd was Manager at the Frankfort Country Club for 23 years and Clinton County Veteran’s Affairs Officer for 16 years. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, a life member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, American Legion, and a proud member of the Frankfort Marine Corps League Detachment 967.
Surviving are his Son: Charles L. Brower of San Antonio, TX; Daughters: Janet (Syd) Brower Rodenbarger of Havelock, NC and Anne L. (Jim) Sexton of Crawfordsville, IN; 6 Grandchildren: Ben and Jordan Brower, Nate Rodenbarger, Miley Peake, Hillary and Caitlyn Bates; and 9 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers: Leon Brower, Loren Brower, and Lowell “Dode” Brower, and a great-grandson: James Deering Peake.
Private Family Services are planned for a later date with burial in the Veterans Section of Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
