Sue J. Good, 93, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Mulberry Health. She was born July 21, 1930, in Boone County to Donald and Ida Gladys (Merrill) Layton. She married Robert “Bob” Good in 1951. He preceded her in death in 1968.
Sue was a 1949 graduate of Mulberry High School. She worked for several places over her years, including Tops, T-Way, Brown Rubber, D & R, Schultz, and Venetian Blind. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, flowers, and jig saw puzzles.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Jeanna Marie (Daniel) Robertson; grandchildren, Melissa (Derek) Johnson, Joseph Robertson, Diane (Pete) Sral, and Robert Good; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jefferey Alan Good; sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Douglas and Irma (Charles) Schiery; brothers, Jesse, Donald Jr., John, and Billy Layton; and a granddaughter Amanda Leis.
Visitation will be held, Monday, July 22, 2024, at 3pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:30pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel. Pastor Donna Enersen will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton County Cancer or Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.
