Wesley Manor Honors Veterans with Special Ceremony

Wesley Manor held a heartfelt Veterans Day event to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Executive Director Kevin Ward opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks, followed by the Star-Spangled Banner performed by Myron Chezem, Jerry Cooper, and Norm Sill, who also shared a moving rendition of “America the Beautiful.”

The Clinton Central Jr./Sr. High School Varsity Choir, directed by Mr. Alex Jackson, also took part in the program, offering a patriotic musical performance that added to the spirit of the occasion.

The service included the dedication of new veterans benches at the Wesley Manor Veterans Memorial, presented by staff members from Day & Genda Funeral Home.

Staff from Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center and Goodwin Funeral Home led a recognition of veterans by branch of service and presented the folding of the American flag, explaining the meaning of the thirteen folds—a touching tribute to honor and sacrifice.

The event concluded with an invitation to visit the Wesley Manor Veterans Memorial, where the new benches now stand as a lasting tribute to all who have served.
