Area Board of Zoning Appeals to Hold Special Meeting Jan. 6

The Clinton County Area Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Frankfort Public Library Skanta Theatre, located at 208 W. Clinton Street in Frankfort.

During the meeting, the board will consider one item of old business. Application #CC-2025-00988 (Docket #36-25-SE), submitted by BML Properties, LLC of Lafayette, requests a special exception to allow two additional non-farm single-family dwellings in an A-1 Agricultural Zoning District. The property is located in Ross Township on the south side of West County Road 1000 North, between North County Road 900 West and North Waldon Road, in the 8500 block of West County Road 1000 North near Rossville.

The meeting agenda also includes roll call, disposition of minutes, public hearings, new business, and the announcement of the next meeting, scheduled for January 27, 2026.

With 48 hours’ notice, Clinton County will provide appropriate aids and services to ensure effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they may participate equally in county programs and services.

The Board of Zoning Appeals reserves the right to limit discussion time and to adjust the agenda order as needed. Inappropriate behavior, including name-calling, profanity, or disruptive language, will not be tolerated. Any materials submitted as evidence during the meeting will become part of the official record and remain on file with the Area Plan Commission.
