Community Schools of Frankfort to Hold Public Hearings on Proposed Facility Improvements

The Community Schools of Frankfort Board of School Trustees has announced two upcoming public hearings regarding proposed renovations and improvements across the district.

The hearings will be held at 6:00 p.m. on March 10, 2026, and 6:00 p.m. on March 17, 2026, at the district’s administrative offices, 2400 E. Wabash St., Frankfort, Indiana.

According to the public notice, the March 10 hearing will focus on discussing and hearing public comment — both support and objections — concerning a proposed project that includes renovations and improvements to facilities throughout the school corporation. Plans also include construction of outbuildings, site and athletic upgrades, and the purchase of buses, equipment, and technology. Proposed upgrades further encompass HVAC systems, roofing, paving, and related infrastructure improvements.

The March 17 hearing will provide an additional opportunity for public comment on the proposed project. During that meeting, the board will also consider adopting a resolution to make a preliminary determination to enter into a lease agreement related to the project and to issue bonds to finance the improvements.
