Students, mentors, and community members gathered this week at Rossville Schools for the annual COACH Kids Local Heroes End-of-Year Celebration, highlighting a successful year of mentoring and relationship-building across Clinton County.
The event, hosted by Rossville Schools—home of the Hornets—brought together participants from the COACH Kids of Clinton County program to celebrate the impact of nearly 80 mentor-mentee matches involving approximately 160 elementary, middle, and high school students.
The celebration featured food, activities, and time for students and mentors to reflect on the school year. A total of 23 pizzas provided by Arni’s Rossville, along with snacks and sweets, helped keep the energy high throughout the afternoon.
Organizers expressed appreciation to Arni’s Rossville for its support, as well as to Rossville Schools and the Hornets community for hosting the event and providing a welcoming space for students, mentors, and families to come together.
A special recognition was also given to graduating seniors who have served as mentors, acknowledging the strong bonds they have built with their mentees over the years. Program leaders noted that many of these relationships extend beyond the classroom and will continue long after the school year ends.
As the year concludes, COACH Kids leaders say the celebration serves as a reminder of the lasting impact mentorship has on young people across Clinton County, Indiana and the importance of community partnerships in supporting student success.
