Another exciting adventure was on the schedule this summer for students participating in the Rossville Consolidated School District Summer Child Care Program as they headed to Mike Aulby’s Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette for a day filled with strikes, spares, laughter, and friendly competition.

The trip added to a growing list of memorable summer experiences for participants, who have eagerly embraced the program’s weekly activities and outings. From cheering on friends after a great roll to celebrating every pin knocked down, students enjoyed an afternoon that was equal parts fun, friendship, and unforgettable summer memories.

The sounds of crashing pins and cheers echoed throughout the bowling center as students encouraged one another and celebrated successes both big and small. Some bowlers proudly recorded strikes and spares, while others simply enjoyed the excitement of seeing their bowling ball make its way down the lane. Regardless of the score, every student walked away a winner thanks to an afternoon packed with smiles and excitement.

The Lafayette entertainment center, owned by professional bowling legend Mike Aulby, provided the perfect setting for the outing with its family-friendly atmosphere and welcoming environment for bowlers of all ages.

While the trip to the bowling alley may have been a highlight for many students, it represents just one of the many opportunities available through Rossville’s thriving Summer Child Care Program. The program has become a tremendous asset for local families by providing a safe, fun, and child-focused environment throughout the summer months while parents are at work.

Students participating in the program have enjoyed an exceptional experience filled with activities designed to keep them active, engaged, and connected with friends long after the final school bell rang in May. The excitement surrounding each week’s activities has quickly become one of the things participants look forward to most as the summer progresses.

District leaders say the program continues to grow because it successfully combines supervision, enrichment, recreation, and community experiences into a summer opportunity that students genuinely enjoy attending.

Fortunately for participants, the fun is far from over.

Additional activities are planned to round out the summer, including one upcoming event that students are already buzzing about as they prepare to “Meet at Arni’s” later this summer in Rossville.

If the excitement surrounding the trip to Arrowhead Bowl is any indication, there are still plenty of memories left to make before students return to the classroom this fall.
