Community Partnerships Strengthen Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Jail Chemical Addiction Program

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing the important role community partnerships play in the success of its Jail Chemical Addiction Program (JCAP).

Officials recently thanked First Merchants Bank for its generous support of JCAP, including a $5,000 donation to help enhance program services. In addition to its financial contribution, First Merchants Bank employees volunteer their time to provide Financial Literacy classes, helping participants gain the knowledge and confidence needed to make responsible financial decisions after their release.

JCAP continues to build partnerships with organizations that provide valuable resources and support for individuals working toward recovery and successful re-entry into the community.

Current partners include Ivy Tech Community College, Whetstone Canines, The Hive, Valley Oaks Health, and QCC360, which contribute through educational opportunities, recovery support, life skills training, mental health services, and additional resources designed to strengthen the program’s mission.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said these partnerships are essential in helping participants overcome challenges, develop new skills, and create a foundation for a more successful future.

“Together with our community partners, volunteers, and supporters, JCAP is creating hope, restoring lives, strengthening families, and building safer communities — one person at a time,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Through continued collaboration, JCAP remains focused on rehabilitation, personal growth, and providing individuals with the tools needed to make positive changes in their lives.
