Brinton Farrand returns to the Frankfort Community Public Library with “Evolutions,” a solo exhibition exploring transformation through music, technology, and personal artistic growth.
The exhibit will be on display July 6–31 in the Hubbard Gallery, located on the library’s second floor. Viewing hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday, and by request during evening and weekend hours. There will be a chance to meet Farrand at the closing reception on Friday, July 31 from 2–4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and the event is free and open to the public.
Building on themes from his 2019 library exhibition, “Brinton Farrand: The Experimentalist,” this new collection reflects the evolution of both society and the artist himself. Farrand’s signature blend of surrealism, expressive drips, and layered emotion creates a visual journey through changing times and ideas.
Featured works include his “American Pie” series inspired by the evolution of music and legendary performers, alongside thought-provoking paintings examining artificial intelligence, robotics, and the growing relationship between humanity and technology. “Evolutions” invites viewers to reflect on the past, present, and future through the eyes of an artist continually reinventing his vision.
