In the United States, Patriot Day is observed as the National Day of Service and Remembrance. It is celebrated in memory of the 2,966 people killed in the 2001 September 11th attacks.
Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition is sponsoring its Fourth Annual Walking Event on 9/11 “In Honor of All Who Serve”. This event is to recognize and honor the elected officials, firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, active military personnel, veterans, volunteers and individuals who serve our community and our nation. We invite you and members of your organizations to join this event.
This event will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Old Stoney. Clinton County Sheriff’s Office employees are encouraged to join the walk there. The walk will go to the Frankfort Police Department, Frankfort Fire Engine Company #2 and the VFW hoping to add “All Who Serve” to the walk. The walk will end at Veterans Park, where there will be a short recognition ceremony. Those that serve will be recognized with a pin and certificate.
