The Spring Camporee will have scouting units of BSA Male Troops, BSA Female Troops, Cub Scout Webelo’s Dens and Venture Crews from Clinton, Boone, Montgomery counties, and Pittsboro attending.
The camporee will take place from the evening of April 26 through Sunday, April 28. Events at the camporee will range from building towers and shelters, measuring heights by eye, preparing for a week-long trip to the Boundary Waters to tomahawk throwing.
Frankfort’s Venture Scout Crew 338 is a co-ed BSA Scouting unit with boys and girls ranging from ages 14-21 or 13 years old and completed eighth grade. Their members come from as far as Fishers and Lizton to Kirklin and Frankfort to be in this unit. They are also currently fundraising to help raise funds for their upcoming summer trip to North and South Carolina to spend two nights on an aircraft carrier, tour Fort Sumter and go white water rafting.
Clinton County recently formed its first all-female BSA Troop. This is now the second female troop in the Sugar Creek District. They currently plan to meet at Camp Cullom.
