The Frankfort High School girls’ basketball team notched its first victory of the season Tuesday night with a 51-48 overtime win over Faith Christian Tuesday night.
“The Hot Dogs dominated the first half with solid defense and transition offense,” said FHS head coach Joe Marsh. “The second half was a different story as turnovers and struggles at the free throw line allowed Faith to get back into the game.”
Frankfort, 1-8, forced Faith into 32 turnovers.
Marsh said the push in overtime had Payton Dubree get some steals and two scores to help seal the win.
Liz Sandoval led the Hot Dogs with 13 points. Jessi Ramos was next with 12 and Dubree finished with 11.
Frankfort also won the junior varsity contest 26-11. The game was limited to one half because of low numbers for Faith Christian. Ari Regalado led FHS with eight points. Madyson Cook was next with six.
