BOIL YOUR WATER BEFORE USING
Bring tap water to a rolling boil for three minutes and cool before using….or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.
This Boil Water Advisory applies only to:
- 508, 551, 552, 557, 558, 600, 601, 608 E. Morrison St.
- 405, 408, 409, 459, 500, 501, 504, 507, 552, 557, 558, 600, 601, 608, 651, 652, 654, 656, 658 E. Washington St.
- 100, 200, 204, 259, 302 Washington Ave.
- 350, 358, 400, 404, 406, 508, 514 E. Ohio St.
- 53 Sycamore St., 53, 202, 209, 251, 257, Aughe St. 358 Sims St.
What will happen?
On Tuesday May 21, 8:30-9, Frankfort Water will be shutting off the water supply to make new water main connections. The water system will lose pressure due to this construction activity. When water mains lose pressure, it increases the chance that untreated water and undesirable microbes can enter the water main.
What will be done?
When the water pressure is restored, also on Tuesday May 21, the water mains will be flushed and samples will be tested to insure the water is safe.
It is likely that you will need to boil water or use bottled water for drinking for two or more days. You will be informed when tests show that you no longer need to boil your water.
