Light Wintry Mix of Weather on Tap for Clinton County

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Special Weather Statement Sunday for central Indiana, including Clinton County.

A mix of light snow, sleet and freezing rain is possible at times today across central Indiana. The potential for light snow and light freezing rain will continue into the afternoon over areas of central Indiana north of Interstate 70. Minor accumulations of snow and sleet, along with a light glaze of ice are possible. Motorists should be aware for the possibility of slick roads.

A low pressure system will move through the area Sunday resulting in chances for mixed wintry precipitation. Light snow accumulations, and possibly a light glaze of ice during to freezing rain, are possible.

Another wintry mix is possible Tuesday night into Wednesday and again Thursday night. A series of upper waves will move through central Indiana bringing chances for a wintry precipitation mix as well as rain at times over the next seven days.
