10. Rossville Volleyball wins Sectional Championship – Rossville Wins Volleyball Sectional Championship Over Clinton Prairie
The Hornets knocked off Frontier in the semifinal and Clinton Prairie in the final to claim the Sectional title.
9. Western Boone volleyball wins State Championship – Western Boone Volleyball Wins State
Led by Raegan Durbin’s 24 kills, a State Finals record for a three-set match, the Stars took home their first Volleyball State Title.
8. Carroll girls’ basketball wins Sectional Title – Carroll Wins Sectional Championship
The Cougars won three games in five days, knocking off Clinton Prairie, Clinton Central, and Rossville to win their second Sectional in four years.
7. Eli Falkenberg dominates in four sports for Carroll – Falkenberg Becomes All-Time Leading Scorer For Carroll Soccer, Boys Basketball All-Hoosierland TV Team, Track and Field Sectional Results; Four Local Sectional Champions
Eli Falkenberg set multiple records in his senior year for the Cougars. He is now the all-time leader in goals scored for Carroll soccer and holds the high jump record after clearing 6’6″. He was also an All-State kicker on the football team and was named to the All-Hoosierland TV boys basketball team.
6. Owen Hudspith wins Sagamore Conference, Sectional, and Regional Championship in pole vault for Frankfort – Track and Field Sectional Results; Four Local Sectional Champions, Frankfort’s Angeles and Hudspith Qualify For State Indoor Meet
As a sophomore, Hudpsith dominated the area in pole vaulting. Following in his brother’s footsteps, and with the help of his dad as his coach, Hudpsith claimed three championships this year.
5. Clinton Prairie baseball wins first Sectional in 32 years; first-ever Regional – Clinton Prairie Baseball Wins Sectional Title, Clinton Prairie Baseball Wins Regional Championship
“Why not us?” has been the Gophers’ philosophy all season, and now they’re making history for Clinton Prairie. They’ll play for a chance at a Semi-State Championship on Saturday
4. The Corn Bowl produces another electric ending- Clinton Prairie Comes From Behind To Win The Corn Bowl
“Through the Indiana night sky,” Clinton Prairie found a way to win the 2024 Corn Bowl in football against Clinton Central. A deep completion on fourth down late in the game led to a Gopher touchdown, giving them the win in an incredible comeback. Watch the full game on Hoosierlandtv.com.
3. Rossville softball wins fourth straight Sectional and Regional – Rossville Softball Wins Regional Championship
Winning has become synonymous with Rossville Softball after winning the 1A State Championship last year and claiming another Regional title this year. The Hornets will be ready to extend the streak next season.
2. Noah Weaver goes back-to-back – Noah Weaver Wins State Championship
Noah Weaver claimed his second State Championship in wrestling for the Rossville Hornets. He’ll take his talents just north and wrestle for the Boilermakers next season.

This one should come as no surprise: the Gophers’ historic season claims the top spot for 2024-2025 sports moments. A magical run for Clinton Prairie brought the community together. The Gophers won their first Sectional Championship since 1982, but didn’t stop there, winning Regional and Semi-State. Jake McGraw became the all-time leader in scoring in Clinton County and eclipsed 2000 points during the State Tournament run. Despite falling in the State title game, this Gopher team has etched its name in Clinton County history.
