Three Additional Lebanon Police Officers Test Positive

Over the weekend, the Lebanon Police Department was notified that three additional officers have tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus. This brings the total number of Lebanon Police Officers that have tested positive for COVID-19 to five. All five of the officers that tested positive are from the Investigations Division.

All five officers are not currently experiencing any symptoms; however, they have been quarantined since their potential exposure. They have also not been inside the Lebanon Police Department or around other officers while awaiting their test results. Before returning to work, the five officers will be required to have two negative tests for COVID-19 which must be at least 24 hours apart.

In addition to the routine cleaning and sanitizing of the Station, the police department was professionally cleaned and sanitized last week. Officers will
continue to be screened for symptoms of the COVID-19 virus at the beginning of their shift. Officers also continue to take precautions utilizing their provided
personal protective equipment.

While the lobby of the Lebanon Police Department is back open to the public, with some restrictions, we still encourage citizens to call before coming to the
department. Officers will continue to handle calls for service over the phone when appropriate.
