Veterans Day Celebration At Clinton Central High School Held Monday

 

Veterans Day celebration was held on Monday November 13 at Clinton Central. The celebration originally scheduled for Friday was delayed due to school being cancelled for the late coach George Gilbert’s funeral.

Veterans Day Address SFC (R) Jeremy Fendley-US Marine Corps & US Army. Mr Fendley is a 1996 graduate of Clinton Central and a retired senior non commissioned officer who has served in both the US Marines and US Army. Some of Mr Fendley’s
awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star medal for valor and meritorious service medal, Army Commendation Medal (8th Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), US Marine Corp Good Conduct medal, US Army Good Conduct medal (6th award), Mr Fendley has served six combat tours, In East Timor, Iraq, and Afghanistan. While in the Army Mr Fendley was selected to serve as an enlisted instructor at the United States Military Academy. Mr. Fendley taught the
cadets Military Science 100 and 200 He was also an Officer Representative with the Army Football team. Upon retiring from the military, Mr Fendley has served in public education for eleven years.He has worked as an instructional Assistant at Sheridan Elementary and Middle School. Mr.Fendley served as the credit recovery coordinator for Westfield High School for five years and is currently the Alternative Education teacher and Head Football Coach for the Clinton Central Bulldogs.
