Woods Files Paperwork for Second Term as County Commissioner

STEVE WOODS

Clinton County Commissioner Steve Woods filed his paperwork Thursday morning at the Clinton County Courthouse to run for a second term as County Commissioner for District 1.

Woods has lots of political experience in his background. He served four terms as Clinton County Councilman At-Large, which included four years as President. He served two terms on the Frankfort Utility Service Board, including two years as Chairman. Woods is currently on the Area Plan Commission which he has been a part of for 16 years.

“I want to see us continue our futuristic look at what we need to do,” said Woods. “I want to get the infrastructure out to (Interstate) 65 done and I would like to see a large housing area between Frankfort and 65.”

Woods isn’t the only Commissioner up for re-election. President Josh Uitts, who represents District 2 on the three-man board, is also up for re-election.

The last day to file for county positions is Friday, February 7, at noon.
