Roy L. Coy, 90, of Frankfort, died August 14, 2019 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Lafayette. He was born December 7, 1928 in Frankfort, Ind. to Cecil & Ruth (Kolb) Coy. He was previously married to Mildred Jones. On January 18, 1975 he married Zelpha Keever and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2017.
Roy was a 1948 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was owner/operator of Coy’s Maytag business for 43 years. Roy also worked at the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Countryside Christian Fellowship in Lebanon and the VFW. Roy was a Boy Scout Leader, and enjoyed traveling and camping.
He is survived by: 2 Daughters: Donna Coy of Frankfort,Leigh Ann (Jay) Watson of Frankfort, Son: David (Susie) Coy of Lebanon, Step-Daughter: Cathy (Jay) Menacher of Mahomet, Illinois, 2 Step-Sons: Steve (Carol) Randel of Avon, Dan Randel of Cicero, 10 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Anthony Coy in 1991.
Funeral Celebration:
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral celebration will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
