Freida E. (Schimmel) Spaulding, 95, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully Monday, March 16, 2020 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She was born on January 4, 1925 in Clinton County to Harvey and Della (Street) Schimmel. She was raised in Clinton County and graduated from Kirklin High School in 1943. She married Charles Spaulding on June 5, 1954 in Jamestown, IN and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1991.
Freida was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Golden Glow Club. She enjoyed playing piano, reading, and working puzzles.
Freida is survived by her Daughter: Mary (Kenneth) King of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Angela Kay (Tim) Baggett of San Diego, CA and Samuel King of Frankfort; Sister: Martha (Lester) Creason of Kokomo; Great-Grandchildren: Shae Baggett of California and Kyla Baggett of Oregon; Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Roberta Burns, and her brother: Wayne Schimmel.
Visitation will be 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 South Main Street, Frankfort. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
