Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Displays “Angel Tree” For Fallen Officers

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office is displaying their 2nd annual Angel Tree for the fallen Officers of 2020. As of today, 277 officers and K9s adorn the 5-inch angels, covering the 14 foot tree, in honor of their service and sacrifice.

Among the names displayed are two Indiana fallen officers: Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Breann Leath, killed in the line of duty on April 9th, and Richmond Police Department Officer Kenneth Reid Lester, killed in the line of duty on February 10th of this year.

Sheriff Rich Kelly, Matron Ashley Kelly and Maintenance Supervisor Terry Richey decorated the tree this year. Administrative Staff Melody Knox, Morgan Hutsell and Elizabeth Alber assisted in assembling the angels. Sheriff Kelly says These families are grieving through their first Christmas season without their loved ones and they are thought of daily.
