The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 29 will close on or after Monday, July 5 for a small structure replacement project. The closure on S.R. 29 over Jenkins Ditch is located just north of Michigantown.
The detour follows S.R. 26 to S.R. 75 to U.S. 421 and back to S.R. 29.
Morphey Construction Inc. was awarded the $494,503 contract. The roadway is scheduled to reopen on August 20. This project also includes scour work on the U.S. 421 Bridge over Cripe Run, located nearly two miles south of S.R. 26.
