Joyce Aileen Duddy

Joyce Aileen Duddy, 86 of Flora, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.  She was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky on July 10, 1936, to William Gobel and Virginia Dare (Scott) Franklin. She married Wayne D. Duddy on June 26, 1959, at the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Logansport; he passed away on April 22, 2010.

Joyce was a 1955 graduate from Monticello Roosevelt High School. She retired from Peters-Revington Furniture in Delphi and had also worked for Essex Wire as a coil winder in Flora and Logansport. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, reading, sewing, yardwork and collecting angels, but most of all, she loved to talk and spend time with her family. She always enjoyed a peanut butter milkshake from Dairy Queen and was a big Elvis Presley fan. Joyce formerly attended the Rockfield Christian Church.

Joyce is survived by a daughter, Debra (Mike) Baker of Rockfield; sister-in-law, Linda Franklin of Monon; grandchildren, Amy (Tom) Rubright of Delphi, Erica (Kenny) Randolph of Coldwater, MI, Grant (Hannah) Baker of Camden, and Zach Baker (Fiancé, Maddy Rishel) of Delphi; great-grandchildren, Landen, Zachary, and LouElla Rubright, Avery, Jayden, Hunter, and (Charlotte expected in October) Randolph; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Virginia Franklin; son, Steve Duddy; brother, Edwin Gene Franklin; sister, Annalou (Lyle) Abbott; infant brother, Travis Franklin; and a great grandson, Jayden Rubright.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Genda Funeral Home ~ Reinke Chapel in Flora with Pastor Todd Ladd officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
