The Lafayette Symphony Orchestra invites families and music lovers of all ages to an enchanting evening of orchestral music at the Lollipop Family Concert on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
This special performance — part of the Lafayette Symphony’s 2025-26 season — offers a lively and welcoming introduction to symphonic music for children and adults alike. Audiences will be transported into a world of sound and imagination, featuring selections designed to captivate young minds and ignite a lifelong love of music.
Pre-Concert Family Fun:
Arrive at 6:00 PM for the Instrument Petting Zoo, a hands-on opportunity where children can explore and try real orchestral instruments with guidance from Lafayette Symphony musicians and friends. This playful, interactive experience allows young concertgoers to get up close with strings, winds, brass, and percussion — making music tangible and fun.
“We believe that music should be for everyone,” said Janette Brown, CEO of the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra. “This concert is thoughtfully designed to welcome families into the symphonic experience in a relaxed, joyous setting.
